Location. Hotel XIX Siecle is located in the historic center of Old Montreal, QC, Canada, two blocks from Notre Dame Basilica and three blocks from the Palais des congrès. The Archaeology and History Museum is five blocks from the hotel Casino de Montreal is located 10 kilometers away.
Hotel Features. Hotel XIX Siecle serves continental buffet breakfasts at Le Verrièrre, where the elegant black and white décor makes a dramatic statement. Guests may relax with a cocktail or tea in the Library Lounge, or browse for books in the grand library. Wireless Internet access is available throughout the hotel, and banquet and meeting facilities can accommodate small groups of 10 to 50 guests. Board games are available in the French Renaissance setting of one of the hotel's meeting rooms, Le Petit Salon. An exquisite example of Second Empire architecture, the lobby and entrance hall are furnished in rich hues, and a restored frieze ornaments the ceiling.

Guestrooms. Completely renovated in 2001, this pet-friendly hotel has 59 guestrooms with 14-foot ceilings, large windows overlooking downtown Montréal, and gracious, Louis-Philippe-style furnishings. Bathrooms, some with separate showers and tubs, provide Gilchrist & Soames toiletries. Additional room amenities include desks, three telephones, fax-modem outlets and wireless Internet access. Both breakfast in bed and espresso delivery are available. DVD/VCR players are available on request.
